HOW TO APPRECIATE LIFE

Think and appreciate. I have come to learn how to appreciate what I have more than appreciating what I can get. Most of us thrive in trying to get what they don't have and forget to take time and thank God for what they do have.  Simple things like breathing air without any pain is a joy, talking to friends without pausing is something I have come to appreciate even simple smiling. Some diseases such as pneumonia deprive us from such free life treasures.

I have managed to build my own life, and for that am grateful. I have two true friends that i can count on anything, they proved that when they skipped work to come be with me when I was ill at my house. My mistakes in the past have made me realise I can be better by not repeating them but learning from them, a good example is the fact that I now have set my own standards for the men and women to be included in my life.

Walking to work, paying rent, having a stable mind, being able to talk, being healthy, affording medical care for self, paying for own utilities, being able to support younger sibling and them seeing me as someone they can depend upon, having a job, being a graduate, going back for masters, being able to pray and communicate, being sober from drugs and alcohol, having friends, being social, being hygienic, affording good grooming (hair salons, pedis and manis etc) and most importantly having both of my parents alive and well and an extended family too.

Those are some of the things am grateful for.

Stop and think for a moment, what is it that you have and haven't taken the time to be grateful for.

Don't get me wrong, I am working for a better life, but for now, am not complaining only appreciating and praying for what  I already have.
