Where did all the WOMEN go??? THE RESPONSE

I read an article '' where did women go'' sometime back describing women as objects to be used and dumped. The twisted side of the article is that the writer is a woman. To some extent i do agree with her, some of us are portraying themselves as such, refer to the blog on hiding, however, that's not all women just a very small percentage.

I feel like she managed to represent them, so am representing the rest of us.

On Materialism; Yes we materialistic who isn't, is the extent to which one is that differs, something we agree on. If am in a position to buy myself all i need, why should that bother anyone. Most of us women, work to provide for their families and themselves and even go further to support their men. That's the reality, there's nothing more women want than to love, support and motivate their men. We get money nowadays so the whole system of gold digging is for the very few percentage and sad having people generalise women as petty creatures. We are strong and interdependent and can afford to be materialistic.

Yes, so I like it when a man opens the car door for me, or pulls a chair for me, its not a matter of equality is a good gesture to the woman in their lives. Equality among men and women is what business executives call Partnerships. Every partner has a role of equal strength to the other and without each other playing their part, they are weak, helpless. They need each other to grow. We do fight for equality in matters of education, professions and household. Feminism doesn't mean we're superior to men, it simply means we can do what men can do. I can open for him the car door if he'll do the laundry, pull his chair if he'll clean the house every now and then. Get my point. We each have a role to play and  fact that we're doing it together, equally, we're stronger.

Please consider this; 1 Corinthians 11:11-12 “In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.”

Dress code; I was very disturbed when the writer's first statement was a quotation from the Bible referring us women as harlots. I can never argue with the bible as its written, its documented. however, before she got to that verse, there's one in the same book that refers women to precious, Proverbs 18:22 “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from the LORD.” (NASB)

Obviously I wasn't there during those days, but from the way I picture things, they didn't have the mini skirts or mini dresses, or halter tops we have today. They probably dressed less provocative than some of us do, and yet they were harlots. Whats my point here, as much as clothing may give an impression, its one character that makes them a harlot or not.

Just because am covering my body from head to toe, doesn't make me less ''harlotish'' as the one standing at the corner of koinange Street. Am worse. There's a popular English saying '' Don't judge a book by its cover'' and yes it works. A cop uniform doesn't make you a cop, it could be role play. You've seen nurse uniforms in clubs, or stores, do you go ask them for an injection...NO! Just because am wearing a white coat doesn't make me a Doctor or Lab technician, I simply think white is fashionable.

If a man gives me his coat because am cold, doesn't mean I have a hankie on, some of us aren't weather women. So it rains at noon, how was I supposed to know. Its not a law for him to give me his coat, its  willpower, own liking. Stop making it look like we force them to.

''The wedding was just to legalise the sex and make things official before the general public; the truth is you’ve experimented and are now bored.'' What!! Marriage is sacred and i don't know which country she's from but is sex illegal in the first place. May be for under age people

1 Peter 3:3-4  “Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty that depends on fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.” (NLT)

Let's stop bashing each other and unite, all women from across the world.
